Went to Banu's place this evening for her engagement. Seems that for their culture, engagement is to be held at the female's side. They had the exchange of rings. Her ring looked very pretty. The dinner was held at the void deck. They had to do it in the next block as there was a funeral wake held at their block.

This is so typically Singaporean. Multi-racial society. Chinese wake with all the "cheng cheng chiang" & next block with a joyous Indian engagement function.
