Father Knows Best

Used to watch this family sitcom called "Father Knows Best". It was really wholesome family entertainment. They no longer make shows like that these days. It's such a pity cz the storyline's oh so "healthy" :)

This sitcom, televised from 1954 (I wasn't even born then!) for 6 yrs. It centered on family man Jim Anderson (played by Robert Young), his wife Margaret (played by Jane Wyatt - very pretty lady), & their children Betty, Budy, & Kathy. Whatever the problem, the kids always turned to their father for advice. It's such a perfect & happy family.

Then they managed to do a reunion in 1977. Compare the photo when they are all much older to the younger version.. esp the younest daughter.. (Sorry, I know it's a bit blur lah..)

Look at the tele-shows nowadays. Most of them do not inculcate proper, deep-rooted, wholesome, pure, good, core family values.. Something's really missing somewhere..

Well, my daddy's birthday is jz around the corner. Really miss him.. Think I'm in one of those melancholic moods.. Hmmm..
