Did I mention about the boo boo I made for my recording on National Day?
Well, it's not an excuse but as that's the day jz after Lan Lan's hospitalization, I was total not myself & utterly confused..
You see, my recording times are from 9am-5pm, 5pm-1am, & 1am-9am. So punctually I inserted the tapes for the 1st timeslot. Mum wanted to visit daddy so we decided to go out around noon. After that, I went to pick Lan from the hospital. Then the huge bill "plonked" on me, & that was practically like the sky had fallen on me! Plus I had a whole chunk of jabs to be administered to her at specified time spans, plus the fear that she might jz have another attack anytime & I need to exercise the emergency procedures.. & what-have-yous..
So when 5pm came, I forgot to change the tapes on time. By the time I remembered, the tapes were all rewound. So I quickly change the full set of tapes.
Then came the boo boo for the 3 timeslot. I started attempting to give her her jabs after midnight. It was sooooo stressful & difficult. Not forgetting that I also need to wash her ears & apply ointment. A different ointment for each ear, mind you.. Haiz.. So plain forgot my "duty" at 1am :(
& that's not all! By the time I remembered to change the tapes, it was around 1.20am. I rushed out of my room, dashed to the VCRs & ejected all the tapes immediately. Then I slotted in another set of tapes for the 1-9am slot. Happily I went back to complete my other tasks.
Guess what? I only realised my mistake when I packed the tapes to bring back to office. In my rush, I inserted the 1st set of tapes (since they're all rewound) back into the VCR to record the 3rd timeslot! Aiyoyo.. How blur can I get! So the end result was that my 1st timeslot's all overwritten! Gosh, right? Really can die lor.. Of all times to make mistake, gotta make it on the National Day's recording! Xiao liao lot.. But what to do? What's done cannot be undone :(
Sob! Jz can't forgive myself for being soooo careless.. It's really not me to make such mistakes. I usually pride myself in being very careful & meticulous..
