Insomnia

Think I have a grave problem.. Practically every night I'm w-i-d-e awake & won't sleep till early morning.. usually around 4-5am, sometimes even at 6am! It's been that way since Dec 20 last year :(

Initially I thought it's due to the change in my daily routine.. Since I don't have a job now, the need to wake up early in the morning is no longer a criteria :) When the sleeplessness persisted, I told myself it's due to anxiety/depression over my present unstable/uncertain state-of-affairs. But I'm kind of disturbed of late as during the past few months, I used to wake up around 11am, 12nn or, sometimes, even at 1pm. However, these days I tend to wake up around 8.30am, 9.30am, which literally means that I only sleep around 3-4 hrs a day, at times even less :( & though I'm tired & feel like a zombie, I just can't go to bed early!

To add to my woes, I got to fall ill for so long. But I guess it's also due to stress which somehow lowered my immune system. Feel that nowadays, my mind does not seem to be functioning properly.. ocassionally I tend to be incoherent & disoriented. Ultimate fatique! I realise now that this is a vicious cycle.. If this trend continues, I'm sure I'll have a "breakdown" real soon.

I also agree. It's very funny that we suddenly seems so sleepy when we want to pray or read the Bible.

Try getting ur schedule to follow the normal working lifestyle.. up early, sleep by midnite. Just curl up in bed and do nothing. No stress cos since no work. Just stare or lie down quietly and dun think of can't sleep, and then get up and do something else.

if getting worse, see doc. Tho he might prescribe sleeping pills, once u get back to normal lifestyle, drop d medication. ~blue
