杨过 & 小龙女 over the years..
** Let me warn you first.. this will be a long one..**
The perfect legendary couple, 杨过 Yang Guo & 小龙女 Xiao Long Nu, immortalized by 刘德华 Andy Lau & 陈玉莲 Idy Chan.

Let's have a look at the other combos, in chronological order -
1960-61 b/w movie production in 4-parts. 南红 (ex-director Chu Yuan's wife) was 小龙女 & 谢贤 (Nicholas Tse's dad) was 杨过.
1976 RTV's (ATV's predecessor) version. Really "obiang".. 罗乐林 as 杨过 & 李通明 as 小龙女. Carol Cheng also had a minor role in this TV series as she was previously with RTV.
Seems that there were 2 movie versions. Both were Shaw Brothers Productions. In 1982 with 傅声 Alexander Fu Sheng & NO 小龙女;
& in 1983 with 张国荣 Leslie Cheung & 翁静晶 Yung Ching Ching.
Then came the best-known, most-liked, successfully-produced 1983 version by TVB. An outstanding production. TV classic! Andy Lau as 杨过 was the best ever, & Idy Chan as 小龙女 was perfect! She was "born for the role". They were really at their best. Both gave captivating performances. None comparable!
This 1984 Taiwanese version's unknown to many. 潘迎紫 was 小龙女 & 孟飞 was 杨过..
TVB's 1995 version came with a "super-fair" 古天乐 Louis Koo as 杨过 & an "expressionless" 李若彤 Carmen Lee as 小龙女.
For the younger generation, there is also the "manga" version. Seems that it's been around since 1996.
In 1998, Singapore's MCS produced their own version of "The Return of the Condor Heroes".. with Singapore's "Golden Couple" 范文芳 Fann Wong & 李铭顺 Christopher Lee taking on roles as the legendary couple.
The 1999 Taiwan's CTS version was a "lack-lustre" pairing up of 吴倩莲 Jacqueline Wu as 小龙女 & 任贤齐 Richie Ren as 杨过. For the first time, we have a 小龙女 dressed in black!
In 2001, Nippon Animation Co. of Japan even created "The Return of the Condor Heroes" anime!
This story is so popular that they even have the games version.
In fact, it's popularity has spread into the technology world. Many PC games are being programmed based on "The Return" & enjoyed by many "fans" in these recent years.
The latest version is the 2006 China production. 黄晓明 Huang Xiaoming, of 萧剑's fame in 还珠格格 Part 3, as 杨过 & 刘亦菲 Liu Yifei, the 林语嫣 of Demi-Gods & Semi-Devils, as 小龙女. Wonder if she's any good as 小龙女. Personally, I feel that 周迅 Zhou Xun is better suited for the role.

auntie..
dunno who the other girl is, but dun think zhou xun will be suitable for xiao long nu.
probably coz i like her huang rong.. she played it well, and huang rong and xiao long nu are 2 very opposite characters
cannot stereo-type her. she's a very good actress so should be able to fit the bill well. that's why she's an "actress". that's what we call versatility..
