Based on Mr Jerry Yeo's comments on Li Ao's remark, I can identify with his views. Quoting him.. "Singaporeans, after 40 yrs of nation-building & countless courtesy campaigns, sadly still behave badly.. There is not one day I am not irked by poor manners on the streets. But I am humbled & awed by the humility, grace & politeness of folks in some 3rd World countries poorer than we are." I agree absolutely.

However, I'm sure when Mr Yeo mentioned "Singaporeans", he's not implying that the entire population behaves badly. He must only be referring to the ugly ones :)
