Miracles really exist
1. About 10 days ago, on a Saturday evening, I lost my handphone. I felt so miserable because I know that it's really close to impossible for me to get it back. Afterall, when I lost my wallet in a taxi on Dec 16, 2005, I never saw it or its contents again!
I left it in the Allson Hotel's toilet. It's a public place. How to get it back?? I didn't even realise that it was gone until about an hr later. The toilet is just next to a lounge where they have many singers from China. I personally asked those who were there rehearsing their performance for that night but all claimed that they did not go to the toilet at all, which of course we don't believe lah.. But I continued to tell them how much the phone meant to me & that it's of great importance to me. Pleaded with them that should anyone find it "later", they can still return it to me at the shop. I even had tears in my eyes.. The phone was switched off then. I've called the phone operator to temporary terminate the line even though it's a prepaid card. It was around 7pm then.
At midnight, still feeling moody & miserable, I decide to try calling my phone one more time. Lo & behold, it rang! Good grief! I was shocked as I've distinctively told SingTel to terminate the line. But praise God, someone answered the phone!! :) She said she's one of those whom I've spoken to from the lounge & she said one of the service staffs thought the phone belonged to one of them. The phone was switched off earlier but eventually when she got hold of it, she turned it on, waiting for me or someone to call. Hmm.. I wonder.. But she actually called Stella to ask for my contact. Don't care lah.. I'm happy that they were kind enough & have the conscience to decide to return the phone to me. Praise God! Sis was so worried for me so when she heard that the phone's been found, she decides to go to the hotel immediately with me to retrieve the phone instead of waiting till the next day, even though it was around 1am then.
The next day when I called SingTel, I realised that there was a technical problem so they couldn't terminate my line on that same day. Well, if they did, I probably wouldn't have been able to get back my phone that very night :)
So that's how I was blessed with getting back my lost phone. Glory to God.
2. The next day, we were supposed to meet sister's children for dinner as it was her son's birthday on Sept 14 & his sister wanted to buy him dinner. But around noon, sis received a phone call from her daughter saying that her husband has lost his wallet, likely in the taxi they took. Impt documents were inside, including his PR-ID. He also had some cash, both S$ & ringgits as his father just came to visit in Singapore & left some money for him. They filed a police report. Sis got very worried & upset. She started wondering what's happening.. why so many unpleasant things happening around her?? But, nonetheless, we still went for dinner that night but instead of Riverview, venue was changed to Royal @Queens :) Again we felt that there's no way for him to get back his wallet, & even if he were to get it returned to him, all the cash should be gone!
Surprise.. Surprise.. Few days later, the police called them & the wallet was returned to them, everything intact. Praise the Lord!
What else can we say? Miracles still happen.. God is alive.. Let's continue to praise Him unceasingly.. Hallelujah!
