I must share the story with you..
Michael Hillyard, "heir" to a successful NY corporation, is in love with an orphaned artist, Nancy McAllister. His mother, Marion, who is determined to have the best for her only son, does not favour this

a promise that they'll never say goodbye to each other. One day, they drive off to elope, but a horrible accident happens, leaving Michael & his friend hurt, & Nancy with her face totally destroyed. In an attempt to separate Nancy & Michael, Marion offers a new life for Nancy: She will send the girl to a plastic surgeon in San Francisco to reconstruct her face if Nancy promises never to contact Michael ever again. Realizing there is no hope left, Nancy agrees to leave Boston, & for the next 2 years, lives in San Francisco & takes on a new identity as Marie Adamson, a photographer. Everything on the outside changes except her love for Michael. Marion tells Michael that Nancy is dead, & he becomes a workaholic to numb the pain in his heart. A medical building project brings Michael to California where he comes face-to-face with Marie. She is deeply hurt when Michael is unable to recognise her. Meanwhile, the plastic surgeon has fallen in love with his own "masterpiece". The plot thickens.. So want to make a guess as to whether Michael & Nancy will be reunited? Well, truth always reveals itself & nothing can stand in the way of fate.. in the way of the promise they made to one another..
Intrigued? Go watch the DVD.. Hehe..
