yes, i'm BUSY..

online this morning till 10am, then went TTSH with mummy for her medical check at the cardio clinic. waited till around 12.15pm before she was seen by the doc. after that, sent mummy to church at kim keat road for her afternoon activities.

confirmed AMK tenants shifted in. all in good order. got home, went online, called contact list for SASCO project from 3-5pm with intermittant disruption on emails :)

nguyet called around 5pm to confirm touch-down. briefed her on status.

EXHAUSTED!

Another darling gone!

Jz found out from Singapore Cats website this morning that BT's friend's cat, Ginger, has died. Must be very devastating for that girl. The whole process was kind of "fast". Guess in a way it's good.. at least no prolonged suffering for both.

Addicted to TV

Yes, I'm a true blue TV addict!

Just finished watching Ch 48's TVB's Armed Reaction II (episode 1).. Really think these ppl are such good & professional actors. Bobby Aw-Yeung doesn't even have the looks but he's soooo good in his role. & so is Esther Kwan. She has a very "lasting" look.. I like both Esther & her real-life husband, Nick Cheung. Both are fantastic actors.

Then I watched "Frasier" & now "Monk". Pure enjoyment! Think I'm very self-contained. Hardly ever feel "lonely". Xiao liao.. Really will end up being an "old maid"! woahahahahaha... sitting on a rocking chair, rocking.. me & my cat.. haha..

Long Posting

Wow! Jz realised that the previous posting's really long! Me so long-winded! Well, either that or my day is really really full of events & TIRING!!

Tired Day!

Errr.. Well, actually I'm tired most days lah! Hehe.. That's probably due to lack of exercise & poor diet. Not that I lack nutrition. On the contrary, I think I'm "over nutritionised"! I actually take lots of supplements. But at the same time, I also take in lots of junks! Hehehe..

Oh, as I was saying.. it's a tired day today. Got up real early cz I wanted to catch the SP Service ppl, hopeful of getting them to stop the turning-off at Yew Tee. Unfortunately, it didn't work that way. Need to re-apply for a new account. But they need the owner's IC & what-have-you.. which I don't have! If I don't apply now, then when Nguyet comes back tomorrow, she won't have any utilities. But to apply means.. whatever! I dunno... Haiz.. So you know what? I used her particulars to apply online for turn-on tomorrow.. Hehe.. So smart of me hor?

Then V-girl called to say that there was "crisis" on channel signals in office so need me to continue with recording for another day.

So after doing that, I checked all my emails, updated tenants' information with HDB online, called my TAM homes for recruitment, chatted with Elel, then Toh, then took shower.

Mum came home & prepared for me the lunch she bought. Then I met up with V-girl & L-girl for "tapes exchange" at TP at 1.30pm. Brought the tapes home & rushed to meet contractor at AMK@3pm to check on leaking sink & spoilt toilet pump. After confirming the quote, appt fixed. His workman will fix stuff on March 1. After that, went to Cammy's workplace to pass her the rest of the house keys as tomorrow I'll be busy so won't be able to meet them.

SP Service sms'd on appt time tomorrow but it clashed with mum's doc appt. So called them to change turn-on date to March 1 instead. Rushed home at 5.30pm to change tapes. Took dinner. Then rushed out again to fax documents to agent in order for new tenants to transfer utilities account to their name. Then went to do some banking matters, bought ice-cream for sis at her shop, went to police post at TP to return an IC that mum picked up last week, & finally, walked home from TP Central. ("exercise" for the day!) Reached home at 10pm. Wow! What an achievement! Exhausted!

Then took dinner (again).. hehe.. went online, watched TV, played with Lan Lan.. chatted with niece.. ate supper.. & so on, & so forth.. yes.. you noticed.. eat, eat, eat... Never mind.. jz let me "eat & grow fat"! I need to :D

Gotta change another raound of tapes at 1.45am. Then hopefully it's nite-nite cz tomorrow's gonna be another busy busy day! Need to start on my SASCO project else the "supervisor" will "fire" me :(

Nice to meet you. Let me introduce myself.. I'm Lan Lan Loke. I'm a very naughty girl. I like attention. I like to sleep. I don't like to be alone & most of all, I hate showers!

Eversince gorgor's gone, I've been rather lonely but, well, guess I'll manage by & by. Nowadays, I tend to stick close to my mummy & grandma most of the time. If they ignore me, I'll just make a lot of ngeowing noise. Mummy has lifted the ban & granted me free access to her room & I'm now able to "explore" as much as I like, especially under her bed. Generally, I like to sleep on top of this plastic box in her room. It's very comfortable. The other place is on her digital scale. That's my pillow. My 3rd favourite spot is next to the dustpan in the kitchen. Now you can understand why I hate taking showers :)

My present favourite past-time is.. to sit on my mummy's chair. It's fun. All I do is wait around patiently beside her & once she leaves it, I'll prance on it! Hahaha.. & there's nothing mummy can do about it cz once I'm on the chair, I won't budge! It's mine, all mine.. nenene...

Blogging

Just realised that I've been blogging for 4 solid weeks & this is my 92nd posting!! Wonder if I'll be able to sustain this vigour. I'm not sure if I'll have enough things to "journalise" or the time to keep on writing, endlessly, on my thoughts, feelings, opinions & the happenings...

Basically I'm an extremely lazy person, if condition permits. I'm also very very very bochubb.

However, this was started for Mac.. So I think as long as I still miss him, I'll continue to keep this blogsite for, erh, as long as I live, I guess.. It's just that simple!

Good Morning!

Yawn.. Yes, I'm up & about! Sigh.. Cz I need to change tapes at 9am! Sooo tired again, from the packing last nite.. & today's gonna be a busy day!

Can you imagine when my niece & I packed my mummy's cassette tapes, plus those previously owned by my daddy, they acutally have 597 tapes in total, & still counting.. cz there are still many more lying around the house! & mummy simply refuses to throw them away.. Haiz.. My niece was commenting that she can't imagine anyone owning so many audio tapes unless it's a radio station or some kind of tape library.. Hahaha.. How true..

Yesterday completed handing over with Ah Boy, my Singaporean
ex-tenant from AMK flat.

Later today, I need to settle matters with brother's Filipino tenants, Roel & Marivic, @Yew Tee. They've moved out yesterday & will meet me today for proper handing over of the apartment, inventory & keys. Nguyet will be touching down on Feb 28. Seems she needs to start work 2nd week of March, I think, while brother & baby will probably be back some time in April.

Tonight gotta meet Cammy & company, my new AMK Malaysian tenants, for handing over of the flat & keys.. Haiz.. Busy, busy...

With all these housing activities going on, why don't I just become a property agent! Woahahaha...

AMK Ah Boy

Called Ah Boy about the handing over & the "furniture". He's so nice. Came over to my place immediately & fetched me over to "inspect". Then he & his wife carried all my stuff & the furniture I requested from him over to my place foc. So sweet of them & all done in less than 2 hrs. I think I must "get out of my shell" & start socializing again liao.. Really need to meet more NICE people :)

You know what? Actually right up till now I still do not know his name. I only call him Ah Boy. Hahaha.. He kept telling me he misses the flat! I think he is really attached to it. He told me he has problem sleeping in the new flat he rented in Yishun. I feel so sorry that I had to ask him to go :( Before we left the apartment, he actually muttered "bye bye" to the flat. He is absolutely a cutie..

Banana Cops

Just watched Banana Cops on cable. It always brings back fond memories. For one, the casting combo is fantastic. 2ndly, the script is humourous & witty, & 3rdly, you don't get to watch Cherie Chung onscreen anymore cz now she's a rich tai-tai.. I particularly like the scene where George Lam & Teddy Robins were racing across the London Bridge. A real classic scene!

Absolutely irritating!

PBG is simply so irritating! She doesn't seem to get her thoughts organized & everytime she calls, she calls at least 4-5 times.. one phone call after another! Aiya! Who she thinks I am? Her telephone operator?!! Just sitting by the phone, with nothing to do? eeyer... Think she'll be inheriting Simon's nickname real soon.

Haha.. Hope she doesn't get to read this by chance, though I know the probability rate is extremely low lah.. You see, she's not too good with computers too.. hehehe...

Renal Failure

Last night, BT called to ask about symptoms of cats with renal failure! Seems that his friend's cat is now down with it. Poor thing! Looks like the condition is quite acute as the cat has been vomiting & even after the drip, the BUN & creatinine levels didn't drop! Advised him to ask his friend to spend more time with the baby from now onwards. Sigh!

Such a motivator! He's really a "joker" in class but I'm pretty sure
he's a hard fellow out of the classroom. I was so very tired but he kept me so awake. As I was sitting right in front, his loud voice & exaggerated gestures just didn't allow me to doze off at all! He had so much to share, so he just went on & on, & he kept us back till 10.30pm! But it's worth it! He seems very well-versed, knowledgeable & resourceful. Must try & "bai-shi" & ask him to be my "shifu" liao..

"The New Face of Ageing"

This is the topic of the public seminar I attended this morning. It's organized by the CWA. They are celebrating their 90th anniversary as well as the 21st anniversary of their May Wong Social Centre. They are also the ones running the Henderson Senior Citizens' Home.

Well, some interesting figures to note is that right now 1 in every 12 Singaporeans is 65 yrs old & above. In about 20 yrs, this figure will drop to 1 in 5! At the moment, over 70% of the aged folks in Singapore are still dependent on their children. It is therefore imperative to make Singapore an "elderly-friendly" nation.

I like what their President said about "ageing". She said it's actually mind over matter.. i.e. "If you don't mind, then it doesn't matter!"
To a certain extent it's quite true :)

Sleepy Day

Relatively packed today. Sigh! Only slept at 4 this morning & woke up at 8, in shock! Rushed to attend a seminar called "The New Face of Ageing" at Sheraton Towers at 9am. Felt quite bored so left early, around noon. Then went back to office to collect video tapes, rushed home, rushed out again to meet niece for lunch at Quality Hotel, Asian Rice Buffet. Quite cheap.. @$9.90+++

Along the way, brought Mac's leftover medicine back to ARVC & donated to them as they don't give refunds anywayzz. Met niece at 1.15pm & finally passed "the urn" to her. Finished lunch around 3pm, & so co-incidental, met mummy at the same bus stop. Haiz.. Actually feeling very tired so wanted to get home asap to sleep as I need to attend class tonight. Solid 3 hrs leh! Sure can't tahan one! By the time I got home, sigh, stuck! Online till now!!! Also watching Ch48.. showing that police women TV series.. think it's called "Armed Reaction".. quite exciting lor... hehehe... Oh, didn't realise but it's the last episode today.. No wonder it's soooo exciting...

Eeeee... Smelly cat, smelly cat.. need to bathe her tomorrow liao.. Poor girl, she really needs to visit the vet soon liao...

Balestier Teochew Noodle

Yummy... This stall's mee-gia is simply soooo nice. Superb! Supposed to have that for lunch yesterday with L-girl but, too bad, the stall was closed so we had to eat bakuteh instead. It's nice too, but a bit expensive. I think I may just go & eat at the stall either tomorrow or Monday.. Have yet to find another noodle stall comparable.

Julian & Anita

Watched quite a few of Chi-lam's shows lately & became rather fond of him. Quite a cute guy.. especially in those roles played by him. I particularly like "Shades of Truth", with Wong Hei. It's like the TVB's comedic version of Infernal Affairs. I found it hilarious. "Laughed my lungs out" for every episode. Also bought his VCD where he was this mute guy, also starring Charmaine Sheh & Nancy Sit.. Then recently also saw quite a few of his movies on cable. Never realised that he's been around for that long. Wonder if Anita & him are still together. Married? Hmmm...
