I think by far, she's the most-liked Huang Rong in "The Legend of the Condor Heroes" history..
Athena Chu 朱茵 & Julian Cheung 张智霖 (1994 TVB version)
Considered to be the sweetest yet most "wooden" one since she did not manage to effectively portray an intelligent Huang Rong.
Zhou Xun 周迅 & Li Yapeng 李亚鹏 (2003 CCTV version)
Personally I feel that she's the best Huang Rong by far. In fact, I like her acting so much, I believe she can also play a very convincing Xiao Long Nu :)
So which is the most compatible pair?
And who is the most credible 蓉儿?
Prettiest? Smartest? Cutest?

Ahhh.. & almost forgot about the movie versions.. Shaw Brothers had "The Brave Archer" series (4-parts), with the various Huang Rongs & Guo Jings spanning over a 5-year period, 1977 to 1982.
Gigi Wong 黄淑仪 & Guo Jui 郭追
Alexander Fu Sheng 傅声 & Kelly Chu 恬妞 (Tien Niu), who was later replaced by Niu Niu 妞妞
No comments on all except for Tien Niu whom I found to be extremely adorable then..

i like Barbara Yung's role.. i vaguely remembered watching it.. quite the spoilt type right? But yet i can't exactly remember it.. haha.. ~blue
ohhh.. you must be a small little girl then.. cz this series was done around 1982-3.. perhaps you saw the VHS? hehe..
